Kitchen Redesign

Update the look and function of your kitchen without a full tear-out. New doors, countertops, hardware, and finishes for a fresh style and less disruption.

Everything we refresh in a redesign

When your layout works but the look is dated, we focus on surfaces, style, and details so your kitchen feels new without moving walls.

Cabinet refacing & doors

New cabinet fronts, refacing, or replacement doors and drawer fronts. Same footprint, updated style and finish.

Countertops

Replace existing counters with quartz, granite, or solid surface. We template and install for a precise fit.

Backsplash

New tile or slab behind the range and sink. We help you choose material and handle layout and installation.

Hardware & fixtures

Handles, pulls, faucets, and sink. Small changes that make a big difference in how the kitchen looks and feels.

Lighting

Under-cabinet, pendant, or ceiling lights. We add or relocate fixtures for better task and ambient light.

Flooring (optional)

Tile, hardwood, or luxury vinyl if you want new flooring as part of the refresh. We match transitions and level.

Our redesign process

01

Consultation & measure

We visit your home, discuss style and scope, and take measurements. You’ll get a clear outline of options and cost.

02

Design & selections

We present door styles, counter and tile options, and hardware. Revisions until you’re happy with the look.

03

Order & prep

We order materials and schedule install. Minimal or no demolition — we work around your existing layout.

04

Install & finish

Doors, counters, backsplash, and hardware go in. We clean up and walk you through care for your refreshed kitchen.

The right choice for your situation

Redesign is ideal when the footprint and plumbing/electrical are staying put. You get a transformed kitchen with less disruption and often a shorter timeline.

  • Layout works — you don’t need to move walls, island, or sink.
  • Cabinets are sound — refacing or new doors refresh the look.
  • Lower cost and faster — typically 3–6 weeks depending on scope.
  • Less mess — no full demolition; we focus on surfaces and details.

What our clients say about kitchen redesign

Sarah

We didn’t want a full gut — just a fresh look. Form & Grain did new cabinet doors, counters, and backsplash. My kitchen looks brand new and we were done in about five weeks. I’m really pleased.

Michael

I chose a redesign instead of a full remodel to save time and money. They refaced my cabinets and put in new quartz counters and tile. The team was professional and the result looks great. I’d recommend them.

Lisa

After 20 years our kitchen was tired. We went with a redesign — new doors, hardware, counters, and backsplash. Form & Grain made it stress-free and my husband and I love cooking in here again.

Frequently asked questions about kitchen redesign

How long does a kitchen redesign take?

Typically 3–6 weeks from contract to completion, depending on scope and material lead times. Refacing and counter-only projects can be on the shorter end; adding backsplash and flooring may extend the schedule slightly.

Can I use my kitchen during the redesign?

Yes, in most cases. We work in phases so you can still use the sink and appliances. Counter replacement may require a short period without a work surface; we’ll coordinate with you so disruption is minimal.

Redesign vs. full remodel — how do I choose?

Redesign fits when your layout works and cabinets are in good shape; we refresh surfaces and style. Full remodel is for changing the footprint, moving plumbing/electrical, or replacing everything. We can advise after a site visit.

Do I need permits for a redesign?

Usually not for refacing, new doors, counters, backsplash, or hardware. If we add or move lighting or outlets, we may need electrical permits. We’ll confirm during the consultation.

What’s the ballpark cost for a redesign?

Cost depends on size and scope — cabinet refacing vs. new doors, counter material, tile, and whether we’re doing flooring. We provide a detailed written estimate after measuring and discussing your choices; no obligation.
